Job Description

We currently have a requirement for an Accounts Assistant to join our Group Finance team in Leatherhead to support a range of activities within the central finance team.

 

Key accountabilities will include:

 

Raise and distribute sales ledger invoices
Raise intercompany invoices as requested
Link all invoices and requests on Intuita
Update cash receipts summary
Distribute outstanding debtor list to the business on a daily basis
Reconcile the Sales Ledger to General Ledger at accounting period end
Produce credit note report at month end
Deal with queries from customers and site surveyors
Set up payments on HSBCnet
Generate and post month end journals
Provide analysis on VAT rates charged on invoices
Assist with cost analysis for the tax cube
Cover for other teams members/ad hoc tasks as required.

 

We are looking for someone with a basic knowledge of bookkeeping, general ledger entries and internal control procedures.  Experience in a sales ledger role and a basic knowledge of VAT are desirable. 

Strong attention to detail and good communication skills are important for this role.
