Transport for London (TfL) Engineers are always looking forward. Join us in one of our Central Engineering, Transport System Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering teams and, as well as maintaining legacy assets, you’ll deliver new systems and solutions. There’s more to it than tubes, roads, buildings and bridges. This is about connecting communities and creating opportunities, so we’re ready for the 21st century and beyond.
Day-to-day, your focus will be on delivering designs, drawings, information, calculations and enhancements that keep vital, innovative and big-budget projects moving. You’ll make sure assets are safe, working and compliant; develop your own solutions; and be a trusted source of engineering advice for everyone, including our Heads of Engineering Delivery.
In this role you will provide support to Senior Project Engineers and Project Engineers to provide the professional engineering ability required to ensure that assets constructed by the Track Project teams are appropriate to meet TfL’s current and future needs, and that the implementation will achieve a compliant and cost-effective asset in a way that will have the least detrimental effect on TfL services.
As an Assistant Project Engineer you will be required to provide support to all Project staff and their managers employed in roles relating to the scoping, design, manufacture, installation and management of track infrastructure. The will include supporting Project Engineers in the coordination of all disciplines of the sub-projects and for all elements of the engineering life-cycle from Pathway stages 2 to 5 inclusive.
It’s important you bring a passion for the TfL Vision and strategy too. That’s because, wherever you join us, you’ll explore work of unparalleled scale, scope and variety across a unique range of projects, as you build your career and expertise. So come and bring on tomorrow, as an Engineer at TfL.
