Location: The Fells, Chester le Street, County Durham
Status: Full Time
Hours Per Week: 37 hours per week
Salary: £17,625 per annum

About you


Do you have an NVQ level 2 in Social Care or equivalent appropriate qualification?  Do you have experience of working with socially disadvantaged and vulnerable people?  Do you have experience of working in an environment that is health and safety conscience?

Do you have experience and/or a willingness to work with clients who may demonstrate challenging behaviour?

Do you have strong organisational skills and communication skills and experience of working in an environment that requires confidentiality?

Are you able to use basic Microsoft Office packages and internal IT systems?

Do you have a commitment to the values of Changing Lives?

If so, the Assistant Support Worker (Nights) may be the role for you.

We began as a soup run supporting people who were homeless in the North East over 45 years ago, and are proud to still have our main base and central office in the North East. Since 1970, our services have grown and developed to support people experiencing a wide range of personal challenges, including addiction and recovery programmes, employment guidance, help for people in prison or on probation, and support for people experiencing sexual exploitation or domestic abuse.

To work with Changing Lives clients in order to improve their quality of life and to deliver an excellent service for our clients in line with the organisation’s mission, service goals, values and associated regulations, guidance and legislature. This is a role for a housing management worker to work as part of a team responsible for a high quality housing management service.
