Job Purpose To process incoming vehicles (ELV, Raw2K, Council, etc.) in a safe, timely and efficient manner in accordance with the RL processes and procedures.
To process Raw2K auction vehicles so as to maximise the throughput and achieve the maximum possible auction value.
To cooperate and works as a team with all other site personnel, endeavouring to ensure that the site operates safely and efficiently.
Key Accountabilities • Safety
Only undertake operations which you have been adequately trained, instructed and signed off to undertake.
Ensure the correct PPE is worn for any operation being undertaken
Report any safety concerns and potential risks in a timely manner to your supervisor or the site manager.
Never knowingly endanger yourself or any other person/s on site.
Maintain the site/work station in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
• Plant & Equipment (FLT)
Only operate equipment once adequately trained in the appropriate safe system of work and signed off by an authorised person.
Complete daily check on equipment, and complete paperwork for all equipment at the start of the day, recording any issues, faults or concerns clearly and accurately.
Ensure that any damage or faults or reported promptly to your supervisor or the site manager

Unload and supervise unloading of incoming vehicle transporters, ensuring all required paperwork is collected
Book In and identify vehicles correctly upon arrival
Prepare auction vehicles upon arrival (clean/empty contents) in preparation for imaging
Take and upload vehicle images on the auction portal
Store vehicles in the allocated area, ensuring that they are safely stored so as to prevent damage and deterioration.
Identify end of auction vehicles and process according to the result of the auction
Prepare cars for collection and manage the collection process with the customers
Manage the stock of auction cars and carry out the weekly stock take
To perform designated activities according to the agreed standards and the best of your abilities.
Any other ad hoc duties relative to the level and nature of the role,
Provide cover for other roles on site as required, if approved and authorised to do so including FLT and baler operation.
Communication and Working Relationship External:
Auction Customers – Liaise with and escort any customers on site as required in the performance of your activities, ensuring that they remain safe, follow the site safety rules and wear the required PPE. Always remaining courteous and respectful and checking all transactions are carried out accurately and in a timely manner.
Delivery Drivers – directing drivers within the yard, agreeing safe loading/unloading processes and liaising to correctly identify vehicles, segregating between ELV and Auction
Cars Team & Raw2K – frequent communication to deal with routine processes and queries regarding auction, scrap and council cars.
• Site Manager– daily communications to set priorities, agree workload, deal with queries/concerns, report issues, provide progress updates, etc
• Site Administrator - close working relationship to ensure all Auction and ELV administrative processes are accurate, efficient and timely in operation.
• Site Colleagues – regular informal communication to ensure site runs in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the SSW and values.
• Company Drivers – directing drivers within the yard, agreeing safe loading/unloading processes and liaising to ensure the correct identification of vehicles
Dimensions and Decision Making • Able to take all standard decisions in line with relevant procedures and guidelines, and other decision to be referred to the site supervisor and/or manager.

In the customer facing part of the role, you will always treat the customers with respect, be polite and courteous, whilst ensuring they are aware of and adhere to the site safety rules around PPE and Loading/Removal of vehicles from site.
