Job Description

Building Services Engineer to carry out m&e building surveys and oversea minor works projects.

Carry out building surveys and asset data collection
Carry out building services feasibility assessments and complete reports
Project manage various m&e minor works as required
commission, organise and assess the work of contractors
work with detailed diagrams, plans and drawings
manage and forecast spend, using whole life cycle costing techniques, ensuring that work is kept to budget and energy efficient systems are implemented
Scoping and specification of m&e works
design of site-specific equipment a distinct advantage
oversee and supervise the installation of building systems and specify maintenance and operating procedures
monitor building systems and processes
make decisions about expired systems equipment and the appropriate location of new equipment
liaise closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, builders, architects and surveyors and in-house project teams
attend a range of project group and technical meetings
ensure that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements
advise clients and architects on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings and sites,
Degree Qualified m&e Engineer/Building Services Engineer
Membership or Associate Membership of appropriate Institution (i.e.MCIBSE or ACIBSE)
Experience with Minor Works Project management
Experience with Condition Assessments of Buildings 
Use of hand-held technology an advantage
Experience of mechanical and/or electrical design and advantage.
