Business and Administration Apprenticeship
This is an opportunity to gain excellent skills and experience in business support. In this role, you will be working with a team that provides supported housing to older people that want to live independently.  You will assist in organising rota's, updating information, answering calls, making appointments and general admin support to the team.

Our supported housing for older people offers easy to manage accommodation with 24-hour alarm response. Each of our supported housing properties has its own front door, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, heating and emergency alarm system.   

Mobile Wardens provide welfare checks and support to tenants in Sheltered Housing and 50+ sites citywide, creating an environment which has at its heart a commitment to promoting the independence of the individual and to enabling older people to live as normal and satisfying a life as possible within their own homes and the successful candidate will be providing support to the Mobile Warden Co-Ordinator.

The role
The role will be supporting the Mobile Warden Co-Ordinator to organise appropriate standby and shift rotas to ensure adequate cover within the defined cluster areas and support for other cluster teams when necessary and duties will include:

To provide comprehensive administrative support within the Support to Older People area team
To support the Team Leaders in the planning and distribution of workloads to ensure the support needs of service users are met
Answer emergency calls from the emergency control centre and arrange an appropriate response by a mobile warden to service users within the defined 30 minute response target
Assisting with monitoring Assistive Technolgy and inform management of any issues
Making appointments for yourself and others
Assisting with enquiries from tenants at the site
Responding to routine correspondence via email or letter
Creating documentation in line with our standards and ensure consistency of our documentation via systems like MS Office and other software systems
Learning our procedures to for the purchasing and ordering of goods and services and then undertaking these activities of ordering and invoicing
Undertaking administration tasks such as typing up emails and documents; collating important information and photocopying
