The Administration and Business Support Service are therefore delighted to be recruiting Business Support Assistants, who are willing to join us to reach shared goals, and have a positive can-do attitude and who aren’t afraid of trying new things. In our varied roles you will be working collaboratively as part of a centralised service which provides support to a wide range of different departments across the council.
Fixed Term, Permanent
£19,171 - £19,554 pro-rata
Hours and location:
1 x 18.5 hr (Wednesday PM, Thursday & Friday) Permanent based at Southmead House, Greystoke Avenue, Southmead Bristol BS10 6BQ.
1 x 18.5 hr (Monday – Wednesday AM) fixed term (covering maternity leave) until 12/1/21 or until the post holders return based at City Hall, College Green, Bristol, BS1 5TR.
The team supports the work of Adult Care Services in Bristol City Council with for example;-
Data input, data cleansing, sending out letters, managing Emergency Carers Applications, administering petty cash etc. This is not an exhaustive list.

As a Business Support Assistant you may be supporting several tasks from different areas of work and will take ownership and responsibility in some areas and playing a supportive role in others. You will enjoy working creatively to support more efficient ways of working on each task and together as a team which will require good communication skills with your colleagues, and other stakeholders. You will have a working knowledge of using Microsoft tools, including shared calendar, and be willing to learn quickly. You will model and promote our organisational values and behaviours.
