Catering Ordering Manager (9 Month Secondment)

We are recruiting for a Catering Ordering Manager on either a 9 month secondment, or 9 month fixed term basis.
Things are changing in the Logistics team, and it's exciting time to be a part of that change, particularly in the ordering team!
Solely responsible for all orders to trains being placed and forecasted the Ordering team take pride in their ability to predict changes in trend and passenger numbers, with the introduction of a new Business Intelligence Suite (Abi) there has never been a better time to help drive change and improve things.
Communication is a big deal at Avanti West Coast, and that's why the role of the Catering Ordering Manager will need to be committed to listening and acting on feedback from front line across the network, not just that but there should be a commitment to closing the loop on all feedback and communication offered to ensure that we as a team learn from any issues that arise.
You will be responsible for the ordering of all Advanced orders into our Catering third parties
You will be responsible for the placing and operating of all orders through the correct systems
You will be responsible for the admin upkeep of the ordering model and providing assistance to the Ordering team
You will be required to assist with modelling and admin tasks for projects and future thinking
Your role is crucial to ensure that costs are controlled and our stock is managed correctly by our 3PL supplier
You will forecast, place and review all orders to ensure the highest levels of availability and minimal amounts of food waste
Reporting into the Planning and Forecast Manager, you will quickly highlight any issues that need to be resolved
