Overview

Premier Inn’s digital Channels take over 80% of our bookings so improvements and new features can have a significant impact not just on revenue but also helping improve the customer journeys of the millions of people who visit our platforms each week.  The Product Owner will work closely with the Digital Delivery team to working on feature development, enhancements and optimisation of our web and mobile digital products

What you will be doing

Shaping and development of a product vision/roadmap aligned to business strategy, consumer journey maps, technology trends and feasibility in the Premier Inn context (business processes/IT systems landscape)
Management of a portfolio of one digital platform serving B2C and B2B customers for UK and Germany
Own a roadmap and manage the balance of customer and business needs and technical improvements to prioritise your backlog to ensure the delivery of product features and capabilities that continually improves, and is measured against a defined product KPIs
Have complete understanding of the Customers’ expectations for the feature/platform – collating quant/qual analysis and working with Analytics, Insight or our researcher to drive further discovery.
Manage prioritisation of Product deliverables for delivery team by collaborating closely with relevant subject matter experts as required, both within Digital and beyond, to ensure the product delivers to commercial and strategic outcomes
Evangelising for product-centred delivery and demonstrating best practice in the Product function and beyond
Support a culture of enrichment and development of new initiatives from the Premier Inn business and absorbing these into of product roadmap and backlog using analytics (both in product and joined up with other CRM/Marketing analytics) and consumer feedback
Why we’d love you to apply: you are…

An experienced Product Owner, used to looking after a feature set on a high profile, high volume eCommerce or Transactional website
Demonstrable experience of A/B and MVT testing, measuring performance and working closely with Digital Analytics partners to execute (you don’t need to set up tests)
Experience in working in an agile environment leading a scrum team by driving their goals and prioritisation.
Courage to take tough decisions to trade-off between scope-quality-timelines-budgets on release level as well as shaping/fine tuning product roadmaps considering consumer, commercial and technology factors
Voracious appetite and comfort with analytics/data and consumer feedback – not get overwhelmed but keep a laser sharp focus to prioritise and filter out
A thorough understanding of customer need assessment frameworks/behaviours
Ability/comfort to take a helicopter approach to move between strategy to feature
Solution focussed –with the understanding implications and interdependencies of options.
Interest in learning new interdisciplinary skills – industry, function, software development methodologies, architecture patterns, UX paradigms
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to create a collaborative environment
Excellent problem identification and solving skills
Organisational and analytical skills, able to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends
Ability to work in fast-paced, time-compressed and dynamic environment
Ability to independently manage own work-load, proactively interacting with key resources as needed
Very useful to have: Experience of Adobe Experience Cloud
