We have an excellent opportunity for an Early Careers Manager to cover parental leave within the Talent and Resourcing function to manage our Early Careers team and deliver the full Early Careers strategy across Wates Group. This includes engaging with the business to ensure we have an effective Trainee and Apprentice strategy to deliver this important pipeline for the Group from attraction and selection through to development and return on investment.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
Manage and support the Early Careers team.
Lead the national, annual attraction and recruitment campaign further building Wates brand externally, including agreeing the marketing plan, developing collateral, building relationships with universities, colleges and student organisations.
Design and deliver the Apprenticeship agenda and programmes, including ensuring value return from the Apprenticeship Levy.
Develop existing and new Trainee programmes for graduates, college and school leavers to deliver business needs and ensure quality structured development and career progression.
Manage professional and academic qualifications activity for the Group
Budget management and forecasting as well as liaising with suppliers to negotiate and procure goods and services.
We are looking for you to have managed the full Early Careers lifecycle from recruitment through to promotion off the scheme. A good knowledge and experience of Apprenticeships and the Apprenticeship Levy is also important.
To be successful in the role you will also be highly motivated, organised and collaborative with effective communication skills to deliver the agenda, manage team performance as well as engage and influence at all levels.
