Transport for London (TfL) Engineers are looking for engineers with LVAC Power systems design experience and/or DC traction power infrastructure design experience to join the Power Engineering team.
In this role you will work with the team to develop and implement complex engineering solutions safely, and within cost limitations. Day-to-day, you will provide technical guidance and advice in your position as a trusted source of engineering expertise.
As an Engineer within LV Power Systems, you will have experience of the design and installation of low voltage AC distribution; and/or 630V / 750V DC traction power plant. Experience of associated electrical protection and earthing and bonding arrangements is also desirable.
You will be involved with power system upgrade projects at all stages of the lifecycle from inception to final commissioning. Your role will involve the preparation of feasibility / conceptual designs for power upgrade projects bringing together input from other disciplines. You will review detailed power engineering designs prepared by our supplier organisations to ensure they effectively meet our requirements and also provide engineering oversight during the installation and commissioning phase.
You will represent TfL internally and externally on Power related matters, acting as a subject matter expert in this field. As an Engineer you will also use your experience and expertise to provide advice and support within the LV Power team.
