We have two exciting opportunities, one permanent and one 12 months fixed term Environmental Health Officer posts within Bristol City Council’s Public Protection Service.

The service comprises of Food Safety, Health and Safety, Infectious Disease Control, Bristol Port Health Authority, Pollution Control and Pest Control Services.
This role will require you to undertake the duties of an Environmental Health Officer working primarily in the area of Food Safety, with potential opportunities to carry out some Health and Safety and Infectious Disease Control work, within the Public Protection Team.
It will require excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to deal with challenging issues.
You must be fully registered with the Environmental Health Registration Board and be able to meet the Food Standards Agency competency requirements for Authorise Officers, have a degree or diploma in Environmental Health, experience of working in the area of Food Safety, partnership working, and dealing with challenging situations.
