Job Description

We have a new opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join our Wates Living Space Team to provide bid costs on a range of responsive maintenance, capital works, refurbishment & planned maintenance for business unit adjudications; always ensuring a competitive net bid.

Key Accountabilities will include:

Attend tender launch meeting to provide overview of pricing model and documents required to be returned as part of the tender, and then arrange follow-up meetings thereafter.
Abstract information into subcontract and material packages.
Compile provisional ‘Green Sheet’ and finalise prior to Adjudication Meeting
Complete Form of Tender and tender letter with any qualification and complete contract sum Analysis/Schedule if necessary
Prepare information packages for handover to operations team; attend handover meeting and brief the team on tender bid

We are looking for you to be a qualified Estimator with a proven track record of successfully managing planned and responsive maintenance tenders as well as a strong knowledge of NHF and PPP pricing models. Alongside this you will have strong understanding of costing, pricing and current market rates and effective communication skills.
