Full time, fixed term for 10 months, with possible extension to 12 months (Maternity Cover).
What will I be doing?
This exciting role will support communications for Bristol’s ambitious regeneration agenda designed to bring inclusive, economic growth for the city and its citizens. Billions of pounds of development in major projects, including Temple Quarter, Western Harbour, Bedminster Green and Frome Gateway, Lockleaze, Southmead and Hengrove, are making efficient use of land to create thousands of new homes, jobs and business opportunities in sustainable, inclusive mixed-use developments. The role will also support communications for major planning projects.
This will include responsibility for devising, delivering and evaluating strategic and tactical communication activities to a range of audiences, exploiting all forms of communication and engagement with stakeholder groups to the best effect.
What do I need to have?
You will have excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate complex messages in a creative and engaging way. With excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and manage relationships with partners both inside and outside the council, you will be a vital part of communicating key city projects. Specific activities include stakeholder engagement, writing press releases, newsletter and web copy, social media, campaign planning and monitoring and event organisation.
