POSITION OVERVIEW
We are currently recruiting for a Food Operations Manager at our new prestigious site by Birmingham Airport. You will be required to project manage and a assist in developing a number of initiatives, principally within the catering service, to ensure that new and existing customer requirements and expectations are exceeded. To drive and support the continuous development of service delivery in accord with the demands of the market and geographical/social trends. To provide a safe and exceptional service to clients and customers in a commercial manner ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting in the development and ownership of saffron menu database
Support the SDG Catering in defining and managing the food strategy
To assist in the Operational delivery of a cost effective, profitable food solution to the business, to maximise gross profit and minimise labour costs
Support in the analysis of food margin results across the business
Liaison with and support to supply chain initiatives
Managing/ support the New Product Development process
Liaising with suppliers and keeping ahead of current food trends
Prepare and deliver presentations using initiative and creativity
Support in the development and ownership of the Saffron menu database including Tablet delivery
Support the Food Operations Manager in defining and managing the food strategy
To assist in the operational delivery of a cost effective, profitable food solution to the business, to maximise profit minimise labour
Develops and drives the effective implementation of the plan, incorporating appropriate feedback and adaptations as required. Provides expertise to the BD teams. - Manages and overseas multiple projects, enabling effective implementation. Ensures alignment with other projects / working practices and identifies stakeholders.
Demonstrates understanding of the levers to maintain a profitable business. Controls costs and thinks in terms of profit, loss and added value. - Revises budgets as necessary and identifies and analyses discrepancies in budgets

Substantial, quantifiable and demonstrable experience in a similar role at this level within a similar organisation structure
Experience of business development including both bidding and securing new business, together with organic growth.
Experience of working within brand guidelines to deliver results
Experience of growing the business through organic growth and changing service delivery.
Experience in recipe costing and GP creation
Ability to develop innovative business propositions which reflect the changing market place
Experience of leading and managing businesses through periods of change and growth – Promotes team effectiveness
Holding Others Accountable – Monitors performance
Solid understanding of the commercial values
Previous use of Saffron is [essential]
Understanding and previous experience of Education, Health and B&I [essential]
