Counter/ Food Service Assistant
To provide excellent customer service from food service counters in a busy prestigious site. Good presentation, service and people skills are a prerequisite to meet the needs of our clients and customers
Assist with all aspects of preparation of food service areas and presentation of food to the notified standard.
To prepare all food with due care and attention, particularly in regard to customers’ special dietary requirements and allergens
Serve food; provide advice and guidance to customers and guests on menu choices and promote food offers.
Replenishment of all food and equipment to ensure service periods do not stop.
Assist with hygienic cleaning of utensils and work areas both during and after service periods.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the food preparation and service areas at all times.
Assist at any special ad-hoc functions, some of which may occur outside working hours
The Ideal Candidate
Very good communication skills
Experience in working in a similar industry such as food service, catering or hospitality
Ability to adhere to all health and safety practices
Strong customer service skills
High levels of personal hygiene and appearance
Basic certification in general hygiene
Experience in working in an environment where compliance to standard is key
Working in our Clients European Headquarters, customer service is paramount along with a clean and tidy appearance, working hours are Monday to Friday:
07.30 - 15.30 / 09.00 - 17.30
Working in the deli bar and adjacent coffee shop you will be required to provide our customers with an efficient, customer focused service
You will also be required to support the Restaurant Manager in the day to day operations
Ideally you will have experience working in the deli bar, coffee shop and restaurant but full training will be given
You will need to have a very good command of the English language, both written and oral, as you will be required to work on our cashless tills
Following training you will be required to 'open' and 'close' the coffee shop, so you must have the confidence to work under your own initiative and prioritize tasks.
