Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operatives
A fantastic seasonal oppurtunity to join Bristol City Council's Parks and Estates team is currently available. If you want to work outside in Bristol's parks and green spaces this job may be for you. Work outside carrying out maintenance within a team.

Fixed-Term until 31st October 2020.

You will be expected to work weekends on a rotational basis, and could be asked to work at any of the parks depots across the City.

We are looking for candidates who:

Enjoy being and working outdoors
Have some knowledge or experience in grounds maintenance service
Have knowledge of Health & Safety, including an understanding of risk assessment and safe working methods
Have good communication skills, and who are able to deal with members of the public
Duties will include:

Litter clearance
Grass cutting and nuisance pruning operations, with the use of hand held machinery and hand tools
Routine and ad-hoc site litter picking and bin emptying
Routine cleaning tasks of hard surfaces, graffiti, public conveniences, and other building facilities
Security opening/locking of gates
Minor maintenance tasks such as painting, site clearance, and weed spraying
