Amey deliver a full range of highways maintenance services to Kent County Council and we are looking for keen and enthusiastic applicants for the position of Highways Maintenance Operatives.

Role Details
Normal working Hours: You will generally be working between the hours of 7:30 AM – 4:15 PM and have a 45-minute break. However, there is a need to participate in the delivery of winter maintenance and emergency call out which will require out of hours working on a rota basis

Hours Per Week: 40

What will the role involve?
Undertake all aspects of highway maintenance works including; Carriageway and footway patching, kerbing, cover replacement, keeping the network in Kent safe for all users.
Participate in winter maintenance services; precautionary gritting, the safe clearance of snowfall
You will be financially rewarded when required to attend emergency and out of hours’ response services throughout the year

What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate would:

Have a Full Driving Licence – preferably an LGV Driving Licence (Class C), although LGV training may be provided for the right candidates.
Have experience in an industry role such as civil engineering, groundworks or any other relevant background
Be knowledgeable on Emergency First Aid at Work (HSE)
Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude
Be willing to learn and develop new skills
