Duration: 6 months+
Our Customer Wi-Fi Programme has an opportunity for two Infrastructure Project Managers to join the Team based in Dunstable.
You will be an accomplished Infrastructure Project Manager with previous experience of managing outlet/multisite related IT change and will take responsibility for delivering a key Infrastructure workstream within this high profile Programme.
What you will be doing:
Take responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of complex projects, directing and counselling project team members, and advising internal and external stakeholders as necessary on all phases.
Ensure that realistic project, quality, and risk plans are prepared and maintained for the project. Monitors and controls team performance against plans. Maintains effective financial and project progress forecasting, and reports as appropriate.
Monitor and control allocated human and material resources, associated revenue costs and all capital costs against the project budget. Ensures that a change control procedure is in place, and actively used to assess the effect of changes to the projects on costs, timescale and/or resource needs and reports these to project sponsors
Lead one or more project teams; allocating and monitoring tasks, motivating staff and supporting individual performance.
Ensure that projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are captured and appropriate action taken.
Evaluate and make recommendations/decisions on technical options as appropriate, in line with Whitbread technical strategies.
Work within the defined organisation governance framework, which may be under the oversight and/or direction of a project/programme management office
Act as the liaison between the customer and supplier organisations, enabling all communications to take place effectively and efficiently.
Frequent UK travel including overnight stays are required to support site migrations and in order to attend supplier meetings for which expenses will be paid in line with Company Policy.
What we are looking for:
Experience of managing Infrastructure Projects, specifically 3rd party, public facing Wi-Fi solutions, Enterprise grade Wide Area Network (WAN) solutions across multiple locations.
Knowledge of Cisco and Meraki products and structured cabling installation and commissioning.
Good grounding in traditional Project Management governance practices.
Passionate about technology with the ability to translate solutions so they are easily understood by non-technical stakeholders.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills; able to inspire and influence teams and senior exec alike
Experience managing large projects and multiple, concurrent IT projects.
Excellent soft skills including outstanding negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, assign and manage work activities, meet deadlines and develop project management reporting in a timely and effective manner.
Excellent written and verbal communications and analytical skills required.
