Job Description

Wates have a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished Learning & Development Business Partner to join our team, to be the primary L&D partner and contact for all aspects of L&D across a number of business units which make up one of the largest privately-owned construction, development and property services companies in the UK.


This is an exciting and varied role with scope to get involved across a range of core activities within our broad L&D portfolio including: business partnering, managing learning programmes, learning projects , budget and supplier engagement. Our portfolio includes:  technical, behavioural, management development, induction & e-learning.


This position will join a busy team so we are looking for you to be delivery focused and driven with a breadth of experience gained in a similar role, this will include the ability to manage multiple priorities/ projects across a number of business areas, providing expertise and enhancing business performance across the organisation.


To be successful in the role you will need to have proven skills in project management, developing and maintaining good business relationships, working face to face and virtually across the UK, managing multiple learning programmes and learning projects that add value to the business.  


Overall we are looking for someone who is passionate about L&D (CIPD qualified) can drive operational excellence and be an advocate of L&D across the business.


Our L&D team is based out of our Head Office in Leatherhead, Surrey. This role will be based out of our Leatherhead office with weekly travel to other regional offices/sites.  


We are happy to consider applicants for this role on a Full Time or Job Share basis.
