We have a great opportunity for a Mobile Desktop Support Engineer to join our team out of our Wates Property Services (WPS) Offices in Enfield, providing support to offices and sites for WPS.
Reporting into the Desktop Service Manager, you will be responsible for providing remote 2nd line support to business users, where the Service Desk have progressed the respective incident or request as far as they can.
Key Accountabilities of a Mobile Desktop Engineer will include:
Accept incidents and requests from the Service Desk and effectively resolve them, updating the relevant tickets in the Service Management Tool
Liaise with Asset and Configuration Management to ensure assets and licences are correctly assigned
Distribution and installation of applications, where applicable
Management of queues in order to meet agreed SLAs and KPIs
Set up new user’s equipment, including installing required applications above the base build within agreed SLAs. Collect, wipe and where appropriate repurpose leavers equipment.
Project work, including providing inputs into Impact Assessments
We are looking for you to be an experienced IT professional with HNC / HND or greater qualification in a related technical discipline (Computer Studies / Engineering) and ITIL v3 Foundation certificate. You will have knowledge of Microsoft products, AD and desktop builds and be someone who is always keen to learn new technical products.
To be successful in the role you will be a confident communicator at all levels; able to explain technical information simply and be able to prioritise your own workload to deliver a good customer service at all times.
