Virgin Trains is looking for a Operations Standards Manager, leading the process to deliver world class operating standards and direct Virgin Trains SPAD reduction initiatives.
 
The post is nominated as Virgin Trains Professional Head of Operational Safety. Providing a resource to deliver a full service of preparation, delivery, monitoring and review of Virgin Trains internal safety audit and verification programme.
 
The successful candidate will provide resources to lead the creation of confidence and team working within the operations team to deliver a high level of proactive support to Driver Managers and Driver Team Managers.
 
You will be responsible for providing a resource to deliver a full service of preparation, delivery, monitoring and review of Virgin Trains internal safety audit and verification programme. Leading and directing the management of Virgin Trains operational safety systems to ensure total compliance with all safety requirements, including robust audit trails.
 
Reviewing serious incidents/accidents ensuring procedures have been followed and making any recommendations that would lead to improvements. In order to develop great short and longer term strategies the role holder will develop extremely close and effective working relationships with our internal and external stakeholders from operational to main board level.
