Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Receptionist to join our team in Basildon on a part time, interim contract.  As Receptionist you’ll act as front of house, undertaking an interesting mix of activities to support the effective and smooth running of Costa Roastery.

Who we’re looking for

You have previous experience of working on a busy reception and the ability to confidently deal with customers in a positive manner.  You’re motivated and flexible in approach, able to remain calm and polite under pressure.  Strong communication skills are key, as you will deal with people at all levels.

Organised, with good computer skills
Have worked in a Customer and Service focused environment
Can work without supervision and part of a team.
Understanding of H&S principals
Understanding of numbers and ability to reconcile

What you’ll be doing

As Receptionist, there are key challenges in relation to the smooth running of Costa premises including: liaising with staff, third party suppliers and contractors, undertaking tours, reducing risk for those working within the office and production environment.  You’ll be responsible for the overall environment of the reception area by keeping the meeting rooms clear, welcoming guests and ensuring phones are answered and calls are correctly directed.  If that wont keep you busy, you’ll also,

Meet and greet visitors, providing a welcoming and professional first impression
Manage the room booking calendar.
Answer, screen and forward calls and assisting with queries
Organise taxis and couriers
Assisting with any other adhoc administrative tasks

Please note - This role is for 20 hours per week, on a 9 month fixed term contract.
