Safety, Health and Environment Advisor
Are you a qualified and experienced Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) professional? Are you ready to move into a large national account to support their sites in the North?
We have a great opportunity available for an SHE Advisor to join a cutting-edge pharmaceutical client with an outstanding safety culture. You will be based in Macclesfield, however travel to other client sites in the North will be required.
This is a key role which provides wide exposure to management, provides a unique opportunity to learn the companies varied and diverse activities and has great opportunities for future career progression.
Formulate, implement, monitor and review annual health and safety action plans to ensure the contract operations comply with best practice and legislative requirements.
Promote and develop a Safety culture which secures effective implementation of policy, procedures and responsibilities throughout the Sodexo operational delivery at the Pharma North sites.
Provide a high level of operational service support to management and operational staff, establishing specific requirements, identifying and facilitating the resolution of all specific issues to add value to operations.
Ensure PUWER assessments and supporting documents are developed and maintained
Management of near misses, accidents and RIDDOR investigations, and follow up actions at Pharma North Sites
Providing proactive support to Northern Pharma sites and reactive support following External audits and RIDDOR accidents and SSoW support to AZ Technical and AZ Southern Sites.
The Ideal Candidate
Health and safety qualification – NEBOSH Certificated minimum
Have a solid grounding and practical experience working in facilities management areas – hard and soft disciplines, particularly within Engineering / Technical Safety Compliance.
The candidate should have a good background in auditing.
Ability to write persuasive and effective reports and communications
Must possess strong analytical skills.
Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) are required.
Membership of professional bodies - IOSH
