We have an opportunity for a passionate Chartered Quality Professional (CQP MCQI) to join the Construction Group as a Senior Business Quality Manager, primarily to be responsible for promoting leadership, understanding and application of Wates Management Systems (the Operating Framework (OF)), and encourage best practice and consistent delivery excellence to support our drive to improve outcomes for our customers and shareholders, including reporting and analysis for the Construction team nationally.
You will be accountable for planning and undertaking compliance reviews (internal audits) in accordance with ISO 19011:2011 on a range projects, activities and the supply chain. Through root cause analysis, identify trends and report findings to business leadership and Group to drive continual improvement. In addition, you will deliver support, training and information on the practical application of the OF at all levels in a variety of engaging ways to raise awareness and compliance, and reducing risk.
Alongside this you will also engage with business and regional leadership teams to proactively advocate quality management (Constructing the Promise) activities with Wates teams and supply chain to reduce mistakes, rework / recalls and defects.
To be successful in this role you will be Chartered Quality Professional (CQP MCQI) and/or Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB) with detailed knowledge of the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 / ISO 45001:2018.
You will also be IRCA trained and experienced internal auditor with experience of the construction industry and associated technology. Skilled in coaching, training and influencing at all levels up to MD level, and have the leadership of a small team of Quality professionals. You will be an excellent communicator on all levels and have the ability to organise own itinerary with willingness to travel nationally and stay away from home when required.
