Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Senior Cost Planner to join our Pre-Construction team in Leeds to prepare cost plans for providing early stage cost advice on construction projects.

 

 

Key Accountabilities will include:

 

Accountable to the HCP and the bid teams in providing cost advice for projects of a complex nature or high in value + £30m.
Prepare project detailed Cost Plan Estimates, using detailed measurements and update the project cost plan as design develops through RIBA Plan of Work Stages gateways or as dictated by the tender.
Preparing bespoke cost planning solutions to meet bidding objectives.
Attend bid meetings as necessary and work with the all member of the bid team including designers during the tender phase of the project.
Handover final cost plan/advice to the bid team for tender enquiries and procurement or use in bid submmissions.
Responsible for preparing tender price and construction price inflation forecasting.
Support the bid teams in Monitoring the stages of PCSA periods in two stage tenders, ensuring costs are compared in line with the project gateways with initial Cost Estimates.
 

 

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Cost Planner with knowledge of costing and pricing, within the bid process within the construction industry. Alongside this skilled in data analysis and interpolation, analysis of design metrics and a thorough understanding of construction processes, technologies and principles,

 

 

To be successful in the role you will be an effective communicator at all levels with a positive and engaging approach, along with good time management and an attention to detail.
