We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Design Manager to join our Construction team in Leeds and be responsible for the functional leadership and management of design management resource on a major project or a smaller cluster of projects within the region or product stream, from pre-qualification to completion.

Key Accountabilities will include:
Produce agree and manage, with all relevant parties, a realistic design programme and information required schedule to satisfy design, procurement and construction requirements.
Manage the design on site with the assistance of other site based resource by implementing the design management procedures to ensure the timely production of information is issued, within budget, fully coordinated and buildable.
Review the design with respect to mitigating Health and Safety issues prior to construction.
Support the implementation of Continuous Improvement programmes and innovation.
Assisting and supporting the business through all stages of the project including pre-construction, and working with the external design team and in house resources to develop effective and efficient design solutions
Managing other functional staff from with the team.
Contribution to development and implementation of functional business improvement initiatives.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Design Manager who has successfully managed teams on construction projects in excess of £30M. Ideally you will hold Chartered status in your chosen profession, and have broad post graduate experience of working within the construction industry and have been working as a Senior Design Manager for a tier one main contractor. You will have an understanding and working knowledge of the BIM process, and the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders on design and technical matters.
