Social Media Executive (12 month Fixed Term Contract - Maternity Cover)
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Social Media team in the role of Social Media Executive on a 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover).
This role is responsible for social media customer service and reactive social media content across the day, and outside of office hours. The team currently work between 07:00 and 22:00 Sunday to Saturday as a minimum requirement. The exact coverage and division of labour will be designated by the Head of Social Media Customer Service. The role will be a mixture of the customer, media and stakeholder facing work and the team ensure coverage is maintained during key hours. As social media is clearly not a 9-5 medium, we do not expect our team to adhere to that. They will also work collaboratively with the wider Corporate Affairs department as well as our Customer Resolutions Centre, Marketing and Brand teams.
We often have to fill customers in at super-fast rates about practical issues, such as disruption to train services. The customer is at the heart of everything we do. You will have the people skills and customer service know-how to be able to create engaging responses to different types of feedback, and mostly in just 280 characters!
You will be able to think on your feet, ensuring quick and helpful responses across all our social platforms, while always working in our house style. You will be a people person who loves collaborating with others and enjoys working in a small team with a busy, buzzy environment.
