Job Description

WL006 – SUPPORT WORKER (WEEKENDS)
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Status: Part Time
Hours Per Week: 24 hours per week
Salary: £12,210.81 per annum
Closing Date: 10th March 2020
Interview Date: TBC
WL006 – Support Worker, Weekends

Newcastle upon Tyne

24 hours per week (2 x 12-hour day shifts, Saturday & Sunday)

£12,210.81 per annum (pro rata of £18,825 per annum)  

Closing Date – Tuesday 10th March 2020         Interview Date – TBC

About you

Do you hold NVQ level 2 in Social Care or equivalent appropriate qualification?

Do you have experience of supporting socially disadvantaged and vulnerable people? Do you have experience of working in an environment that requires confidentiality?

Do you have a willingness to work with clients who may demonstrate challenging behaviour? Do you have the ability to develop and influence others?

Are you able to use basic Microsoft Office packages?  Are you able to maintain attention to detail, ensure all work is accurate, concise and understandable? Do you have commitment to the values of Changing Lives? Do you have commitment to equality and diversity?

If so, the Support Worker role may be the role for you.

Changing Lives is a national charity that supports over 17,000 people each year. We are a well-respected, growing organisation dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable people across the UK.

We began as a soup run supporting people who were homeless in the North East over 45 years ago, and are proud to still have our main base and central office in the North East. Since 1970, our services have grown and developed to support people experiencing a wide range of personal challenges, including addiction and recovery programmes, employment guidance, help for people in prison or on probation, and support for people experiencing sexual exploitation or domestic abuse.
