What is the purpose of this role?
To perform all Vehicle, Vehicle Mounted equipment & Plant Cleaning in full compliance with health, safety, welfare and environmental regulatory requirements.
Including but not limited to, Vehicle & Plant Washing & when required interior Valeting, MOT Steam Cleans, Bin Lifts & RCV Body deep cleans. In addition, to ensure the vehicle wash area is kept clean & equipment is kept in a safe condition & maintained in accordance with manufacturers specification.
To perform various labouring duties / cleaning within the Vehicle Maintenance Workshops. Assist workshop personnel when required, including occasional driving duties, collection of parts from suppliers or delivery / collection of vehicles from repairers.
Oversee all vehicle wash movements on site and ensure that residual waste produced on the wash is handled in accordance with company policies, procedures and legislation.
Ensure the welfare and safety of all operatives working in the team and to make sure that all work is carried out in full compliance with health, safety, welfare and environmental regulatory requirements.
What will this role involve?
To perform duties in a safe manner so as to prevent incidents, accidents and environmental incidents with particular attention to following safe systems of work.
Report all Near Misses, Incidents, Safety and Environmental concerns using Amey’s Airsweb System
Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the Vehicle Wash facility & within the Workshop.
Ensure that all waste is handled in accordance with the company procedures and legislation.
Ensure that all tools, Wash equipment checks are carried out on daily basis and equipment is maintained in a proper working condition and any defects found are reported promptly to the Workshop / Transport manager.
Control the stock of Traffic Film remover, water conditioner & valeting consumables.
The working hours will be, 7.00am to 3.45pm Monday to Friday
What are we looking for?
Cat C LGV Licence
Experience of Vehicle washing preferred but not essential
General Vehicle House Keeping
What makes this role unique?
You will take vehicles for MOT testing as and when required.
