What is the purpose of this role?
Driving a variety of mobile plant vehicles, including wheeled and tracked loading shovels, landfill compactor, telescopic handler, compost turner, 360 grab, and dumper truck, to meet the requirements of site operations.
What will this role involve?
Ensure the waste collection operations are carried out in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner
Ensure the site drop-off/loading areas are maintained in a safe and efficient manner
Operate all loading/unloading plant and machinery as required
Working on a rotating shift pattern between the hours 07:00 - 20:00 5 days out of 7
Ensure the company Health & Safety Policy is complied with at all times
Ensure the company Environmental Policy is complied with at all times
Complete and issue skip delivery/collection tickets as required
Ensure all vehicles, plant and machinery employed in the operation of the contract is maintained to ensure the minimum of downtime
The collection of operational paperwork/tickets as required
Drive on-site vehicles as required
Use the performance review system to set annual objectives for direct reports
What are we looking for?
Excellent customer service and people skills
Basic IT skills
Driving licence preferred
Experience preferred but no essential as full training will be provided
