The opportunity

We’re looking for a Site Supervisor to join our Durham Site as we continue to expand our business across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

 Dealing with internal and external email/phone requests
Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed
To provide a high level of customer service
Request and process all documentation from customers, references and annex VII’s
Weighbridge admin, updating spreadsheets and data entry
Cash handling and processing payments
Face to face, email and telephone communication with customers
Ensuring continuous compliance for all site operations
To train and carry out all safety inductions to staff and any external visitors
To enforce all health and safety procedures are followed
Efficient stock control
Transport planning
Ensure the site training records for EHS, including the safe systems of work are up to date, accurate and available for all members of staff


To liaise with the RL transport team to book collections
Maintain drivers’ files, manage tach card records and provide information required to the RL transport team
General site updates, reporting of performance and escalation concerns
Report and update site KPI’s to management
Accurate data entry using excel spreadsheets or on internal IT software’s
Assisting with the dismantling of ELV’s when required
Assisting with the purchasing and processing of metals
General housekeeping and accordance to EA standards
Willing to train and develop
Supervising staff in the Site Manager’s absence.

Weighbridge experience preferred but not essential
To be able to think on your feet and to make decisions in line with RL procedures and policies
To be able to engage with all members of staff and release potential colleagues if required
FLT Experience preferred
360 Grab Experience preferred
Previous Supervisor experience preferred
Previous knowledge of the scrap metal sector is preferred
